Hey everyone! My 6 year old son has ASD and also struggles a lot with anxiety. He really NEEDS to be in control of things, but as life goes, you can’t control everything and as a 6 year old - he shouldn’t be in control of everything. However, anytime he gets told “no” it is turning into an extreme meltdown - screaming, throwing things, tipping chairs, he kicked a hole in the wall a couple weeks ago. How can I help him learn to tolerate being told “no” in a way that is safer and frankly, less destructive?
